Growing up in the business… Luke’s late father Paul Pasmore started PAUL’S AUCTIONS in St Catharines, a weekly auction in 1966 – He was a pioneer in the industry bringing in European containers of antiques and the Thousands of truckloads that he brought in from all over US and Canada along with the local estates handled- Plenty of insight and knowledge was gained with the skill to sell, Luke took this and opened LUKE’S AUCTIONS 1989. Joining forces with his dad in 1994, they created Peninsula Liquidators. Luke and his wife Sue took the business over in 2007 due to Paul’s extended battle with Parkinson’s. Facts; Paul was the first Canadian dealer to attend many of the auctions across the North Eastern United States.* A New York apartment and warehouse enabled him to ship two tractor loads a week for many years* Honorary member of the AAO. Paul was well known, we will always remember him for his honesty and humour. He was laid to rest Dec.23rd 2011 * Luke born and raised in St.Catharines* has been selling since he was 7 years old* Traveled and worked his lifetime with his dad * has been on Television shows and a TV series * several road shows * Competition Champion 2006 Ontario’s Auctioneers Association – initiated the term “Misguided Freight” and “Pickers Auction”*
